Tailgate Hook Retaining Springs
I want to install a set of tailgate hook retaining springs. Not sure how they are supposed to be orientated. Can someone explain or show a photo of how these are intended to be installed?
Thanks

Re: Backfiring
Backfiring can also be associated with an intermittent loss of voltage in the ignition system somewhere. May want to check wire connections and a possible wire rub through to the body. A while back...

Re: Door window fuzzies on 1940 ford pickup
You will need to install the clips to the fuzzies. I loosely clamp them to the strip, verify their positioning to the holes in the doors, remove the strip and squeeze the clip onto the fuzzie with...

Re: 46 Ford Truck Front Fenders
It's 26-1/2" using a tape hooked to the top inner edge and following the fender top contour to the top edge (at the center) of the wheel opening. Not sure on the big truck measurement, but it will...

Re: Defroster Vents for 1941 pickup. Source?
A tip. Use a couple pieces of welding wire through the duct screw mounting holes as guides. Slide the duct up the wires and secure it at the top of the dash with some tape to keep it in place. ...

Re: Defroster Vents for 1941 pickup. Source?
I recently went through this and learned the differences the hard way. Was sold a set of the straight style vents and was told they were correct for my '46 pickup...they aren't. Using the straight...

Re: 1940 Door Windows
I just installed channels and glass into my '46. My truck has the metal surround around the glass and fits perfectly into those box channels. I would assume the channels will need filling for glass...

Re: Wa State, Nice & Legal
I have a YOM Washington plate on my '46 pickup. It's my understanding, Washington only issued a single plate for trucks in '46 and cars got a window sticker.
Oregon only issued a single plate for...

Re: Hard brake pedal
It's possible there is insufficient clearance between the master cylinder piston and the actuating rod. As the fluid heats up the lack of clearance there could cause the brakes to drag. I like to...
