Fuel tank neck basket removal
I want to "calibrate" the fuel gauge in my '31 Coupe. However in the filler neck has a filter basket preventing access to the tank.

King Pin locking pin question

I guess I am so used to a closed system, that I was not expecting so much evaporation. For now I will stop worrying about it and just monitor.

But how “low” can I allow the level to get below I get concerned?
It takes about a quart of water and I cannot visualize the top of the liquid in the radiator.
