Re: UHaul open car hauler for a Model T?

The tire straps on Uhaul trailers do not fit or work on model T wheels. Trailered mine 2 weeks ago and had to use straps to the axles instead.

Rad stuffing

Has anyone ever heard of stuffing the top of a rad with hemp rope? I drained the rad today to put antifreeze in. When I looked in through the filler neck I saw something floating. I reached in with...

Re: Noisy bumper brackets

Thank you for the help. I wasn't sure if I had to heat the rivet to get it to crush.

Noisy bumper brackets

I was wondering how to tighten up the rivets on the rear bumper brackets of a tudor?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Wheel color

I'm curious to know how close the colour of the Tacoma Creme is. I just received my order from Modelawheelcolors today but won't be using it right away.

Re: 1928-29 Oval Face speedo calibrated for Kilometers

Every year when you buy plates you have to report the mileage on the car to MTO (Ministry of Transport Ontario). They hassled my friend one year because he only drove his car 7 miles. I'm not sure...

Re: inner tube...

A trick I saw somewhere was to partially inflate the tube inside the tire before installing the tire. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it should work better than trying to force the flat tube...

Re: 1928-29 Oval Face speedo calibrated for Kilometers

Re: Red light

I just had the same problem and in my case the flasher unit had gone bad in only 3 months use. Waiting on a replacement now. Nobody near me stocks 6V flashers.

Re: Short in a new wiring harness

When my lights developed a dead short I eventually took the headlight switch apart and found a small blob of grease inside that would make contact when the switch was turned. Probably not a common...

Re: The color and the shape!! Body styles and color photo thread!!

After looking through the previous pictures I'm now no more sure of the colour of my car than I was before. 1930 Tudor painted about 35 years ago....

Re: cleaning out a radiator

A local rad shop suggested leaving it filled with CLR cleaner overnight if it's off the car. Picture what ends up in a humidifier or dehumidifier.
