Re: 1935/36 Ford pickup door lock

Suggest you insert the new lock and mark the shaft for the needed length. The hole on the end can be used to insert a tool to guide the square shaft into the square hole. How about a photo of the...

Re: Holley 94 Thottle Cable/ Linkage Fitting

The Stromberg and Holley Carb. both have the ball end on the throttle. If you want to use the Stromberg style on the Holley It should attach and work. The later and larger Holley end will not work...

Re: Holley 94 Thottle Cable/ Linkage Fitting

The throttle end you pictured is typically for a Stromberg Carb. and linkage. The 94 you have uses the larger end and a rubber cover over the steel ball. You most likely know your missing the...

Re: clutchplate just fits the flywheel, or not ??

The original PP and clutch were 9 inch. Not that that makes a difference. The PP should have the fly weights on the three arms. The weights create extra force against the clutch as engine RPM...

Re: Repair exhaust bolt hole

The exhaust area of the block may be very thin. Use caution removing any material. I have seen more than one leak coolant from a bolt hole.

Re: 35 & 36 Columbia Owners - Unique Shaft Seals!

Did you consider having the housing machined for a modern seal as the later units use? I saw your car at the eastern V8 meet, it is a piece of art.

Re: Choke/Throttle rods

The 91-99 is the correct Carb. for your engine and year. You seem to be ignoring people that have asked you for a photo, so I will not ask. You should know both rods are adjustable.

Re: Defroster Nozzels - what year?

I also believe the smaller ones are 40 hot water heater. They are embossed B-1728 which is most likely the Mfg. part number not Fords. There is also the Mfg Co. logo embossed which may be Sunday.

Re: Stromberg Carbs 81s 97s & 48s

The Stromberg model 40 was used in 1934. It is nearly identical to the 48 without any model marking and just a couple internal changes. Ford did not start introduction of the new year models with...

Re: 1934 - 35 Horn differences?0

Yes the 33-34 are model CL-4 and the 35 is CL-6 so the top covers also change, as well as the projector screens.
