Re: 6.00X16 radial conversion

1oldtimer - where did you buy those? Are they the federal brand tires that diamondback tire added whitewalls to? Unfortunately, I don't think diamondback carries those anymore.

Anybody know where to buy...

Re: What diameter tire for '36 with droped axle?

Interesting Topsterguy. It sounds like there is fender clearance for a larger diameter...but then you run into frame interference when the wheel is turned. That doesn't sound good since I was...

Re: What diameter tire for '36 with droped axle?

What would be the max diameter that would fit under the front fenders? It seems like most of you are staying in the 25" to 25.5" range, but can you go taller if you stay narrow?

The reason I'm...

Re: 1947 Ford 1/2 ton pickup

Based on the amount of work you have done to freshen the old gal up, I would say 10K is quite a deal for that ol pickup!

Re: Radial tires

Diamondback radials are the only way to go for wide whitewalls. I wouldn't mess with Coker tires anymore.

Talkwrench has a good point with rim width. Is there a good rule of thumb for radial...

Re: 1934 Front Wheel Alignment ?

Just food for thought here…I’m an engineer and tend to over-analyze everything. Tire size will have a SLIGHT effect on your toe out measurement. All in all, if you have excessively large or small...

Re: Radial Tires

To answer your specific question on the 600-16 to radial conversion...the closest you will get is with a 195/80R16 tire. Bridgestone makes these - Diamondback has these in wide whites too.

Re: New to me Very good condition 1936 ford pickup

The good think about original un-modified old fords, is the fact that you can buy replacement parts from places like Macs and Bob Drake, Dick Spadaro and others. It's not cheap, but the parts would...

Re: Radial Tires

I am beginning to loose faith in the Diamondback Auburn (bias ply look a-like) tires...they told me a few months back that they would be out in December. Now February. I think they have been...
