I think the slotted hole steering holes were so the same frame could be used on the passenger car and pickup. As for the plate, try Neal Jennings. I got one from him earlier this year.

I don't know about a top loader but we get 1430.00 for a rebuilt S10 T5. That price includes a 1 year guarantee and shipping to any of the lower 48.

I have a couple 6 cylinder bell housings. They are the same depth as the V8 just with a different bolt pattern where they bolt to the block. This bell housing has the V8 bolt pattern.
