Lawson, the overflow tube goes to the bottom of a recovery tank. If the cooling system is properly sealed, coolant is pushed out the overflow tube and discharged into the bottom of the overflow...

That lever is secured in the out-of-overdrive position so it won't free wheel. It has to be in the opposite position for OD operation. The OD can be activated in a simple or more sophisticated way....

About 30 years agoI found a 312 sitting on the ground in a salvage yard. All the pistons were corroded to the cylinder walls. The cylinders that weren't cracked, I cracked getting the pistons out....

I can't help with your original question, but IIRC, The FRONT sway bar was available first on the '40 ford. My understanding is that is not advisable to install a rear sway/roll bar without a front...

I bought a '40 coupe in '85 that had an 8BA engine in it. It had the truck oil pan and it was not cut. I put an 8BA in my '38 5 years ago and after it was installed I found the drag link hits the oil...

It happens to vehicles stored in humid area with the clutch pedal up. I found on my tractor that If i block the clutch pedal down for a few days it allows the disc to relax and it breaks loose...

Sounds like the two small wires on the solenoid were reversed. The wire to ignition coil is sending the start signal to the solenoid.

You can't leave ethanol fuel in an old car or small engine for long. I've read that it goes bad in 90 days.
