Actually. all is in place and properly aligned so the extension does not touch the grille on the 34.
Triangular pan is the forward bearing. Not the grille.
That is the reason for the thick...

Know squat about 41's but on mine the handle is also the lug wrench.
Did 41 have a different type lug wrench?
He still has his and it sure looks like mine. This is bearing in mind he bought car...

Actually a 35 extension goes in and engages crank but is too short.
Guy that owns it has had it since 1960 and used to crank it.
Extension is lost and I am trying to find him one.

Hello, Friend needs a starting crank extension for a 1941 85hp. Car is stock. What length am I looking for. Mine are all 35 and older. Thanks.

The slinger- washer should be tight against the outer race of rear bearing.

I just use SAE 140.
Clamshell is meant to hold 4 oz. Much more and it will leak bad.
I use SAE 140 in there also ....

JD is a 1958 620 LP with a 810A 3X16 plow behind it.

We did not enter it or the green 68 Chevelle SS396 convertible in front of it for judging.
31 MODEL a 2D won.

Just enjoyed the comments.
AND showing how easy the 34 is to crank...

Just in case this has not been mentioned.
Agree on tightening them tight and backing off NO MORE than 1 turn.
Really cuts down on "death wobble".

That said be sure to check for binding as any...

An update on what I have done with it. Removed [ but saved] the reds headers and dual exhaust. Had a NOS head pipe and crossover and excellent exhaust manifolds Put them on along with the...
