Re: Kudos for Bratton’s

I guess we all have our favorites. Just as important as fast delivery is their response to questions about parts. Bert's and Synders both do a good job at that. I'll follow-up with Brattons based...

Re: B Carb Float Doesn't fit

I contacted David Renner and he is seeing what he can find for me. He doesn't handle the B floats anymore since they are not made well. He believes the pin bracket itself is often the problem as it...

B Carb Float Doesn't fit

I have a 1930 Coupe which has a B Carb on it. While rebuilding the Carb, I couldn't help but notice that the float was pretty dinged up, with numerous dents and solder spots. So I ordered a B carb...

Re: Battery Switch Wires

Like Patrick L. mine cuts the starting wire. It is located to the right of the starter about 7 !/2" at 2:00 as seen
from the front of the car. Switch goes through the firewall and comes out about...

Re: Are you happy with your Mitchell Overdrive?

Thank you all for responding. I'm sold...gonna get one. Like the idea of a quieter ride. I have a high compression (5.5) head, and engine is strong. Thanks again.

Are you happy with your Mitchell Overdrive?

I'm thinking about putting a Mitchell overdrive into my 30 Coupe, but first want to survey current owners. Has the Mitchell overdrive met your expectations and are you satisfied with it? Thanks.

Re: Windows won't roll up

I fixed mine on my Coupe by replacing the felt window channels. Works great now, as the window can not cock crooked on the way down.

Re: Zinc sill plate question

Just bought two. They look real good to me, but I don't know if the the ones I took off were original or not. Otherwise, they were just like the ones I took off.

Re: Trico Windshield Wiper Motor Doesn't Oscillate

Mine does the same after a $150 rebuild. Look forward to an answer. Could be the blade is too tight against the window? Window is not wet? Inside of wiper mechanism not properly lubricated?

Re: Interesting Comments about you Ride

The "Waltons" and "Did you buy it new?" are classics. I haven't had anything except "That's a nice car"!

Re: Rumble Seat

My Coup rumble seat bottom cushion has two spring loops that stick down and go into holes in the floor. The springs work the same way as the small panel clips on the front door. A used part...

Re: Turn Signals Again

Katy... I don't have the flasher shell grounded, but I was going to try that next. I took one of the 6 volt flashers apart because someone had mentioned setting the contact points a little farther...

Re: Turn Signals Again

Thanks for the replies. This sure is frustrating. I just ordered two different brand flashers and will keep trying with those. I also ordered a buzzer. Will let you all know if I get things...

Re: Fuel/air mixture setting

My Coupe runs perfectly okay with the GAV closed. This probably indicates a damaged GAV needle seat. Probably not the needle as I had replaced it. My plugs are cleanest with the GAV closed, so I...

Re: I'm not a Model A person

Took my honeymoon in a 1950 straight eight when I was 20. I always enjoyed parking in it more than driving it!
