Rear Spare Tire Mount Attachment Direct to Body?

I have a 30 Tudor sedan going back together after many years. Getting to the spare tire bracket that attaches to the rear of the body (this is not a side mount spare). Is there any kind of rubber...

30 Tudor Vacuum Wiper Housing Broke

Has anyone had any luck reattaching the mounting arm on a vacuum wiper motor? I dropped mine while cleaning it and the prices for replacements are getting pretty steep.

Steering arm bent?

I purchased a rebuilt steering arm (with a new round ball welded on) few years ago and installed. It looks like it may be bent given that the end of the drag link now rubs underneath the brake shaft...

Re: Stewart Warner Horn Brushes?

I’ll try to post a picture of what I’m working with and I’ll try using a new set of brushes and brush holders from one of the vendors and see if they work. Thank you everyone for your feedback!

Stewart Warner Horn Brushes?

I’ve identified my horn as a Stewart Warner. It is missing one of the brush holders and the brush inside it. Are the brushes and brush holders sold by Mike’s, Snyders, etc generic enough to use? I...

Re: Correct 30/31 Color Scheme?

Thanks Brent! Your answer is what i was looking for exactly. This 30 car is painted more like a 28/29. I think the upper body (above the belt including the C pillar) would be all the same color...

Re: Correct 30/31 Color Scheme?

Ok thank you both. I was just trying to avoid $90 between the two books to get a quick answer for a specific question. Looks like I'll be picking them up.

Re: Correct 30/31 Color Scheme?

Thanks Mike. My question was not about the color specifically, but about the arrangement of the colors on the body. Both the MARC and Model A Ford Club of America state that for 1930 and 1931 the...

Correct 30/31 Color Scheme?

I am seeing pictures of some 30/31 vehicles with same upper and lower color body color and the accent only at the raised area of the belt. The color guides i see written claim that the upper and...

Stamped Brake Drum Picture?

Does anyone have pictures of the stamped and cast brake drums that show the differences? I think all I’m seeing online are cast ones and I’m not sure what I have on my car.

Re: Can Anyone Identify the Heater Needed for This Manifold?

Keith,
If and when you have any pictures please let me know. The attachment bolts are 10-3/8" apart on my manifold. Thank you.

Re: Can Anyone Identify the Heater Needed for This Manifold?

Thanks everyone for replying so far! The manifold definitely isn't modified. The split between the two waffle portions is cast that way. The top is supposed to bolt on with two fasteners that are...

Can Anyone Identify the Heater Needed for This Manifold?

I have a split waffle style manifold but not the heater cover. The mounting bolts are a lot farther apart than the 7" on the commonly available Autolite part (they roughly align with the #1 and #4...

Re: 1930 Top Wood Padding to Body?

Yes it does, but at this phase of my life with two kids in college i have more time than money! It was a bit of forensics working from the few rotten scraps of what was left of the old wood (my car...

1930 Top Wood Padding to Body?

I have a 1930 Tudor Sedan and I've read in a few places that there should be some kind of padding between the wood and outer body. When I removed the old wood there were remnants of a felt-like...
