Re: fuel soaked exhaust pipe on start up
OK it's been a long time but I wanted to get back to everyone on this issue. 2013 was a busy year so I didn't get around to this for a while. Ended up replacing carb with new Zenith. Car stared up...

Re: Exhaust port
Thanks for all the info guys. The plugs differ in appearance. Currently the 1,2 and 4 plugs are a little on the rich side but look ok (1 is richer than the others...). The #3 is pretty clean, light...

Re: Exhaust port
I've done a compression check and all is ok. I've checked for spark and I know I'm getting spark to the plug. I was afraid it could be a head gasket leak. Is there any other way to check for leak...

Re: fuel soaked exhaust pipe on start up
I unbolted the exhaust pipe from the manifold and took a look. Don't see anything in there. Going to run the shop vac and blow it out to make sure. After that I'll clean up the spot that keeps...

Re: fuel soaked exhaust pipe on start up
I think timing is good, I've set it and it sounds good at idle. I've done compression check, all cylinders came in between 58-60. I've check valves recently but can always check again.

fuel soaked exhaust pipe on start up
Sometimes when I go to start her up, the carb shoots (not dribble) fuel out the back and all over the exhaust pipe. This is a big concern since I've had to shut her down when the fuel starts to...
