This repair is for 31 Plymouth PA equipped with a Delco Remy 629 H
distributor. Pretty sure parts are not available.

I need to re bush the distributor shaft (not Model A)
will likely need to turn down an oversize bushing. Are there any specific types of brass bushing best suited for this ...oil lite or ??

Identify this switch

Switch is marked Ford on the rear side, has terminals for head lights, side and tail lights. But no magneto terminal.

The same engine with a lightened flywheel will idle quite slow but not as...

Horn issue

Have a 30 coupe with a 6 volt generator. When the engine is not running the horn works fine. When the engine is running it also works OK.
Turn on the headlights and the horn barely sounds at all....

Not the frame, which was I had thought. I removed the body, checked the frame for sagging, it was not bad, less than 1/8" of sag, so I straightened it, now it's as close to perfect as I can get....

On my 30 coupe the length at the top of the hood side aprons measure 31.5" at the top.
30" at the bottom measuring front to back. This leaves a 1/2" gap at the bottom.
Is this standard with a 30...

Hands down best has to be Bullet, spectacular but believable. Plus as time goes on I admire all the Old Cars parked along the streets, when I first saw this movie those same cars where not so old.......

Check the compression tonight, low cyl is 60, high cylinder is 68, which doesn't seem terribly bad. Also did an oil change and went to a slightly heavier oil 15w-40.
Same result,...still smoking at...

Generator output

With the installation of a powerhouse generator, can you expect to run more accessories, upgraded head lights, or driving lights etc?

If this is really such a common model A issue, I wonder if it may be wise to fishplate this section of the frame to add support,.....or maybe once it's straighten it will take another 80 years or so...
