Here's how I do it. Just drill (2) holes 180 degrees apart. Tap to 5/16" and use a stright bar puller thats available everywhere. Easy,,,,:)

Yes, a burned valve will be obvious. It will look like you took a cutting torch to it and metled the valve face:eek:. If the valve is black and not distorted, it is not burned:).
