Re: "Special" Intake Manifold?

I wonder if he has a "B" carb to match? That would explain why it was added.

Re: Next step - brake lines...30 Tudor - Guidance?

Be sure the kit is designed for the speedway master cylinder location.

Re: Next step - brake lines...30 Tudor - Guidance?

The pictures show the way I set up my '32. It involved a piece of angle iron and the original Ford fittings. First the left and then the right side.

Re: A newbie needs help!

Remember if you bolt a Model B carburetor onto a Model A intake manifold the carburetor will be at a slight angle and it will be difficult to attach the Model A choke. The venders make special bolts...

Re: A newbie needs help!

Interesting. When was the last time your car was at the DMV? Then maybe it was just the difference between two DMV locations, I used the one in Culver City in 1972 for my '31 RDDPU.

Re: Next step - brake lines...30 Tudor - Guidance?

I would use all 1/4 inch lines and original (or reproduction of original) fittings so you don't get involved with adapters. Look at the fittings and routing for a '39 Ford. Can you post a photo of...

Re: What wheels are these?

I thought of that and that is the reason I asked for a better picture. It almost looks like a baby moon cap inside the depression in a steel wheel.

Re: What wheels are these?

A close up of just the wheel might help. I think you should have had a 5 on 10-1/2 bolt pattern so something has been changed.

Re: Front and Rear Hubs 28 Model A

Be sure to check if the drums are straight because if an amateur removed them they probably used a big hammer.

Re: A newbie needs help!

When the engine passed final inspection at the Rouge plant, where all of the engines were manufactured, it was assigned a serial number. When the chassis came down the assembly line this same number...

Re: Model B fan

To the best of my knowledge yes. I read it in the bible (Green). The fan 46-8600 fits 28-34 four cylinder.

Re: Serial Number and Year of production

The first thing you need to do is to add your general location to your profile.

Next you need to get the paperwork straightened out before you invest any money and before the seller disappears. I...

Re: Can we put transporters in their own area? Not Swap or Forums, please.

What are the number of reasons that they annoy you? I think they are fine in the Swap Meet section (they are trying to sell a service) but admit I would be annoyed if I encountered them in the forum...

Re: Pictures V8 Diff.

Not an answer but a question, why are you contemplating this change? The answer may stir up some valuable advice.

I don't know what size you need but I always heard Bratton's had the best stock tubes.

Re: Model B engine in an A

The Model A has a smaller rear main bearing which means you need to enlarge the pan for the larger bearing. The B rods will hit the sides of an A pan. You need to dimple the pan. I have heard that...

Re: Timing gear cover

I would think it would be easier to find another one. Temporarily thread the hole (maybe enlarge it) and put a bolt/plug in.

Re: Need Cylinder Head

Be sure to contact your local club as shipping probably will be more than the price of the head. Good aftermarket high compression heads have destroyed the value of original heads.

Re: Paint color for 32 Tudor belt rail panel (dash)

I suggest you invest in a copy of "The 1932 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 club (https://shop.efv8.org/collections/ford-books/products/1932-ford-book-softbound-all-new). It will answer questions...

Re: 1931 Slant Windshield Fordor Firewall

They definitely had less wood than the straight window ones. Years ago I was looking for one and ended up finding a 4 door Model B. Very similar.
