I've had leakers and I loosen and tighten a few times(3 or 4). that usually stops the leak.

spring drive
for something to do, we took 4 laps around Watkins Glen international raceway this morning. Was a hoot! found out a '60 ford with drum brakes will never make a road race car!

So I removed the intake and heads('60 292) to do some cleaning and to check out the valves. also replaced both rocker arm shafts and 3 rockers that were galled badly. with the heads, off I cranked...

from pics I have found, the sender appears to be accessed from inside the trunk. looks like opposite side from the filler pipe. check for an access door in trunk floor.

Yes, there are tension bars. Haven't gotten the guts to try and adj. them yet. Looks "easy" in the Ford manual. We'll see!!
