I’ve used a hair drier with 3in 1 oil . Warm up the old grease / oil then use the oil . If its really gunky I’ll use mineral spirits / paint thinner then use the oil . Seems to work when springs...

Agree with above . Do not cut wires to remove . They disconnect and are in specific sections when installed. Do be fooled and buy a universal harness , they can work , but are much more involved. Buy...

The loadmatic distributor is purely vacuum operated. Since your cam is changed , it changes the vacuum signal plus the mechanical valve timing . All of those alter the needed ignition timing you need...

What distributor are you using ? Ithink You can lift the distributor a little with the cap off and rotate one tooth . Sorry no coffee yet . More after I wake up .

I only know how to email photos. I’ve got a screen shot of a correct handle assembly. It will show the way it should look . The remaining piece is still attached to your door and will come off easily...

Number 3 plug looks a little bit more white on the porcelain but not that much .Id not worry about it . Something I noticed was the amount of thread that could be in the chamber . Did you check it...

I found a set of seven , Mcquay norris , 3 ring aluminum flat tops . With pins . These have the expansion slot .

You could pull plugs when cool and inspect for moisture or a different color plug from the rest .

This is just a suggestion. If you have not replaced the 4 core plugs on the oil pan rail , now would be a great time to do it .

I do not think having 2 different chamber volumes is ever correct . It’ll work but not correct. Especially when rebuilding a motor and you have a chance to correct it .

Check the amps required to run an electrical vacuum pump . I would just run the engine vacuum with a extra holding tank. Easier and probably cheaper . Just my opinion.
