This mite help someone , These are a copy drawings of the gauge plates for the Ammco brake arching machine The ruler is copied on the page so you can scale it correctly.

When you use that tool, do you need to adjust the diameter of the shoes to match the diameter of the drum to allow the centering tool to measure correctly.

On my car, the backing plate bolts threads were to short, not cut long enough down the bolt. They would not tighten up,( I needed about three threads ) some one add spacers to allow the nuts to move...

Brake Shoe Roller Pin

Does the Brake Shoes Roller Pin fit in the Brake shoe hole snug or
should it be loose enough to rotate.


This pin has the brake shoe rollers on it and the rollers spin
but the pin will not...

Front Brake housing lever measurment

I am rebuilding some front lever assemblies and want to know this measurement. I want to insure a snug fit when finished.

The only king pins i have are already in my 31 tudor and i really do not...

I can only offer my life lesson for my engine knock, but raise the distributor up from the new head about an 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch and than tighten it up again.

Check to see how tight you radiator support rod nuts are, I had a noise like you have and i tighten them up and all is good.

actuating arm fitment to king pin ball

Looking for some help on this,
Should the actuating arm be a tight fit in the King Pin ball end or maybe a snug fit?
Can it have any movement?

Is it soft woven material for steel brake drums and hard molded for cast brake drums?

What is the height of the serial numbers stamped on the engine?
Will the frame numbers be the same height to?
will the be 1/4 inch high or 1/2 inch high??
