My first car was a 50 Ford 6 cyl. with o/d tranny. Quick, reliable & at times a V8 beater. Neat motors/engines flatheads ......etc.

All I know is that when I switched from 160 stats in my 8BA to 180s it ran cooler. Never over 190. Are 21 stud engines that different...I am ignorant...but I believe that finding the stst that works...

Interesting stuff here. Only read it because my 1st car was a 50 six cyl with o/d. Outran a few V8s with it. That little 6 really pulled specially after a rebuild. I'd like to drive one with auto...
