New Ring Gear Installed

Touching base on ring gear installed.
Reading previous posts does it make sense to spend some extra time and pin ring gear at 3 locations with set screws to prevent walking off flywheel.

Hi,
Looking at checking bearing clearances pulled the rear seal cap and a small piece of the lip is cracked of in one piece about a inch in length.
Right now my budget is not ready for a short...

Hi,
My U Bolts on rear springs are rusted out.
Ordered new U bolts.
Just want replace them leaving rear springs in place on frame.
Can l just C-clamp springs in place with multiple clamps.
Or do...

Thanks for all the input !
The gear oil in transmission looked pretty bad drained out overnight
Added small amount of degreaser let sit a bit then drained that then went ahead and sprayed some...

Hi,
Looking at a simple process to clean out bottom of transmission without removing.
Everything thing looks good and in working order.
I read using kerosene or would it be easier to just refill...

Thanks for the information l pulled off bearing retainer on main drive gear slid off drive and to check bearings and scratch my head there was no main drive shaft bearing.

Main drive gear

Hi,
On the main drive gear on transmission l noticed some play movement is this normal ?
Would the ball bearing be worn?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Nu-Rex cutout for 6 volt positive ground 1930 pickup

Hi,
Putting a rebuilt generator on truck looking at a Nu-Rex cutout to install on generator has anyone used this on there cars or trucks.

Frame spreader

Hi,
Replacing rear and front motor mounts on 1930 model A keeping original concept that rolled off the line.
I may have to slightly spread frame to move rear mounts to replace .
Need a suggestion...
