Door Handle I.D. ?

The inner door handle pictured below, was installed on my '36 coupe when I purchased it. There was only this one - all the others were mismatched.

The handle is in great shape and is rather heavy,...

I believe the trouble I'm having in installingthe door window glass in my '36 coupe, is that the springs placing tension on the guide pins on the two arms of the regulators, are too strong to allow...

Re: 36 door window glass remove/replace

PGBuick,
I am replacing the glass in my '36 3W now, using a write-up I got several years ago. Unfortunately, I don't recall where I got it from, but fortunately, I would be happy to either copy it...

Re: 4 Post car lift

I've had a BackYard Buddy since 1993. I haven't had any problems whatsoever with it and at my age (77) would probably not be working on old cars anymore, without it. 4-years ago, I dismantled it by...

Re: 36 5-wcoupe, seat too close to wheel?

No, not chromed. I had an opportunity to get a five gallon bucket of small parts nickel plated for $50. Couldn't turn it down.

The blocks were made of hardwood, not aluminum and were painted...

Re: 36 5-wcoupe, seat too close to wheel?

I had to move the seat back 3" or 4" on my '36 3W. Just placed the tracks where I wanted them, laid out & drilled new holes. I had to make a spacer for the front hole on each side. I'll get a...

Re: Professor David Lewis - Ford Historian - 1927 - 2023

Very nice man. I had breakfast with him one morning in Loyang, China, in the early 1970's. He was there to give a talk to students at a local university. I was there installing American made gear...

Re: Bad news gets worse-SHIPPING !!

Might be an "unfortunate" name as you see it, but they saved me a sale when I was able to quote a shipping price through PirateShip.com (via UPS) that was less than 50% of the price UPS quoted me...

Re: what was your first car and how much did you pay

My first car was a '56 Chevy 4-door, bought in 1962 when I was 16 for $15.00. Needed brakes & brake lines. I bought a set of tires from a junk yard for $20.00. It was painted flat black & had a...

Re: How many of you are doing total restorations?

Hope to finish my '36 3W coupe this Summer. Started it in 2010, but lost a few years due to medical issues and a relocation.

Re: Garage Lift

I have had a Back Yard Buddy lift for just over 30 years. It's been used, on average, about 3 or 4 times a week and I've never had a problem with it in all that tims.

So sad to see the business that Doug McKenzie built, go to a sad ending. I remember driving up to Lockport from Rochester in the early '80's and getting my Model A parts from him. Nice guy and gave...
