Check and make sure you are not shorted somewhere in the distributor. Is the wire from the lower plate still OK? Is there a short in the terminal box?

FLoat valve is open....possibly float is not set at the right height or bad float valve. Also sheck the condenser.

Maybe it has not been driven enough? Drive it under some load. Make sure you have some MMO in the oil and fuel. See what happens. CHECK THE WIRE THAT RUNS BETWEEN THE LOWER AND UPPER PLATE FOR...

Try snipping that wire tie that is holding the bunch of wires in picture no. 1. It could be that the wires and wire tie are interfering with the proper function of the throttle and spark levers.

I use a 4 post lift. I drive the car up on the ramps and the car is fully supported from the wheels. I can do the following with a 4 post lift:
Change oil
Do all the lubrication on clevices, etc....

You can make a tool to drive the grease fittings in. They do not install with much force. I have installed the drive grease fittings without taking things apart. Easy to do.
