Only running on four cylinders. Guess I better start looking at the timing and distributor. Open to troubleshooting ideas.

Yep left everything in place, just pulled radiator and disconnected wires.

I’ll check the carb. It’s really weird since she was running fine, just a slipping clutch plate. Pulled the engine, replaced the entire clutch assembly, reinstalled and now she’s running like this....

Trying to wire a remote switch on my 36 with a floor starter button. Sounds like I need to alligator clip the negative wire to the battery side of solenoid and attach the other clip to the positive...

Looking for a sage to provide some schooling

Engine ran fine, pulled due to slipping clutch, replaced clutch and reinstalled engine. Engine runs like crap, clutch works great.

Idles fine...

Installed longer fuel rod and pump working as it should. I now have a problem with the idle set to high and adjusting the set screws on the carb do nothing to slow it?

Push rod is 7.90 and it’s too short, will order 8.90 and see if that fixes it.

Fuel pump and oil pressure switch working. Put in a under dash toggle switch so I can turn it on and off. Wiring...

Thank you V8 - I suspect this is the problem as the fuel push rod came out of a different engine. I’ll check it out today.

Check - I’m thinking the push rod may not be operating the pump correct. Just not sure how to verify that’s the problem.

It’s a oil pressure switch that only gives power to the pump when there’s oil pressure. See pic, trying to figure out wiring for it though.

I’ve since acquired a rebuilt 37 flathead engine that I’ll throw into this deal. So this price will get you the car and 2 engines.
