Identify steering arm?
When I replaced '36 steering box with a '40 unit I thought steering arm was also '40 but noticed number on arm is 78-3590, GREEN BOOK doesn't show that number.
What year arm would this be?

Thanks for the advice guys, problem solved!
The grade 8 hardware cinched up good and tight stopped the box from moving.
Amazing that little movement in the box could give me such a headache.

Who rebuilds early steering boxes?

No more leaking water out the lower header bolt near cylinder # 8. First ran in header bolt with NEVER SEIZE and used RTV where header and header extension meet, that stopped leak right there. Next...

How do I back flush early V-8?
Have an 8BA in my '36 and would like to back flush cooling system, there are no heater hoses, could I attach garden hose direct to heads and back flush through and out the the radiator fill?

I have a small amount of water coming out the the left side header where it mates to the header extension. Am going to use NEVER SEIZE in the header bolts and RTV around the gasket between header...

Pete, not sure what you mean by "pressurize" the cooling system, you mean bring it up to operating temp.?
Hear about a product called IRON-TITE, wonder if that would help.
