I’m fine with inspecting it while it off but my understanding is you can’t install the pump as try to put the oil pan Back in with the engine installed. Is that right?

I need to do the same thing. My plug won’t come out to put a holder in place for the oil pump. Any other way to hold the pump?

Old thread but curious, have to take my oil pan off to fix strip drain hole. My fitting on the side of the block won’t come out. Can I hold the pump in place from the valve cover?

No it’s a random spring and baling wire. Home made repair I’m sure of it. One of the pins was installed in the wrong opening on the Clevis end too.

Love to see some pics of your setup. Also want carb are you using with it? Several people have said the factory carbs won’t work with a pump. Assuming there pump has to much pressure.

Thank you. I plan to scrub/sand and clean it all up. Think I will go this route. Was factory chassis gloss black or a satin black color?

Most is surface rust and nothing really overall bad. Just trying to clean it up a little. This is just a littl jalopy car. Looking for input on Por-15 or if any used Rest oleum farm paint

Nice coupe, love the stance. I plan on dropping the axle and posies sprint front and rear. Hopefully to get the same stance.
