I've read that Ford used "leatherette" for their V8 rumble seats for weather durability, as opposed to leather which was continuously problematic...

I will do that. There is now a present post re the 'red' for Seely gauges that I will phone and inquire if it is the ORIGINAL 'red'. (there is an AFTERMARKET 'red' available.)
