Sound like you may have the Tudor bumper arms and not the coupe. I believe the coupe Body risers are the shortest at around 2 1/2"? not sure.

I thought I could reproduce the original pieces from what was left on our 28 Special Coupe
The first set were undersized as the wood had shrunk over the years, the second set was better and made...
