Re: speedster

Cool.

Sold my T speedster not too long ago. Was a gas to drive but impractical for me.

Re: Buffing out orange peel.

Bill Observer

I don't understand the crappy paint jobs modern cars receive. You'd think for the price of a new car...

Re: New member looking for advise, please

True. Just last week saw a frame and running drivetrain for sale 2 hrs. away and a complete restored and running engine, with clutch and pedals, an hour away. I might call on the engine, asking...

Re: Buffing out orange peel.

Buffing will not remove orange peel, it should be color sanded first to knock down the high spots (orange peel) then buffed.

The buffing pad follows the contour of the paint so all one ends up...

Re: OT: It's the simple things that often bring a smile to our face....

Neat video. We still have the old buzz saw, and belt, that was mounted on the front of our IH A tractor. Dad and I cut many hedge posts into firewood. The tractor is long gone and have never...

Re: My what hearty souls . . . .

Looks to be a dusting of snow here in SE Ks. Could use a good freeze, the pastures are slop and cattle miserable.

Upon second look, it's all sleet and still coming down.

Re: Not much demand for Model As at any price or is it antique cars in general?

As to the spirit of the thread, demand is relative to price(or vise versa) and both are subject to disposable income. To a certain degree.

I need a grant to study how the value of a Model A is a...

Re: Not much demand for Model As at any price or is it antique cars in general?

I'll second your opinion. My wife and I live in the country, have more than enough money, but spend most of our hours working. Our A coupe and T speedster seldom see the road when compared to our...

Re: New Shop is coming along.

I'd second that. Our lift has them over head and a joy to use.

Re: Prices of model A's

I checked some of the bigger cities CL sites here in fly over country and have found very few if any stock Model A's for sale, just hot rod/hot rod projects. Think it goes in cycles.

Re: I maybe going to do something I never thought I would do

Like others I too have sold cars I wish I hadn't. Passions change over time so if you sell the car don't be surprised if ten years down the road your looking for another A. Happened with me except...

Re: JC Whitney is 100 years old!

Re: Is my fan OK?

I changed to an aluminum 2 blade fan when I couldn't figure out why my engine, with 4 blade, would seem to vibrate more at higher rpm. Problem solved.

Re: How to decide when to throw in the towel?

There are 3 of these for every 1 that gets it on the road. Sad waste.

My advice: Step back and take a breath, don't dwell on it. You sound young. Set your priorities: Family, Career, Hobby(one...
