Hi, guards are after market for 47-48,there is a, bar that goes between the guards.They are for the front,the late Bob McCoppin, did a, article in the V-8 times back in the 90's on the difference...

Thank ,you all again for the help and ideas,on the transmission.Will get Van Pelt's book and then take the transmission out of the car and start over. Also the car came with some extra transmission...
