All phaetons really take two people to up and down. IMHO
They are a bit flimsy and warp and bend fairly easily; particularly the deluxe phaeton

I have taken apart many originals but don't have one in the shop presently
All Ive seen is the head toward the fender and the nut inside the frame.

Yes! Berts is a true asset to the hobby in many ways!
Steve also focuses on quality in repo parts. He often contracts to have quality items made.
I talk to him often and seldom have trouble...

There is a tool (and one can be easily crafted) that will slide behind the interior handle. That will give some ability to rocking and pulling at the same time.

10-20 MIGHT buy materials for paint, upholstery, bright work and glass!
A good restoration these days is $30k plus if done “close” to correct
