female dovetail assembly

On the 39s was the female dovetail assembly welded to the pillar on the inside of the pillar or just riveted to the pillar. thanks.

i know this is a very old post but today i tried the plastic bottle/funnel trick. it worked in a heartbeat. i tried several tricks that i've read here but this was the best for me. thanks for posting.

i have found them but not for a 39 deluxe with the offset safety latch. all the ones i found had the cut out for the latch dead center.

i just found a picture of another offset safety latch so i guess mine is right and the air deflector i have is not notched right. thanks anyway
