Re: Pentronix in a Mallory twin point

First, you would have to determine if Pertronix has a kit available for the model distributor you are talking about (early, late, part number etc.)

Re: raising fan height

Fabricated a fan shroud to fit my '51 Merc. using the original 4 blade fan and it worked as expected, pulling air thru 100% of the core and maintaining acceptable temp. at idle.
To me it seems that...

And dirty points are in most cases why the clocks stop running.
Don't...

Re: raising fan height

A properly designed shroud will allow air to be pulled thru almost all of the core.
No matter where the fan is located.
Even if you center the fan to the core the four corners out of the radius of...

Re: Accelerator linkage

Needs a shorter rod that fits. Or the linkage on the firewall is bent.

Re: Fatman dropped upright issues...maybe

Never had an issue with pin fitment.
Make sure that they are lubricated to check fitment.
Then if needed see here---

Re: Question about lacquer paint

Acrylic and Nitrocellulose lacquer thinners do come in different grades generally to control drying times depending on atmospheric conditions (heat, cold, humidity etc.)
You can...

Re: new valves for my 53 merc

The Chevy valves are no better or worse but you have to use the correct valve keepers, spring retainers and springs along with any necessary shims to obtain correct spring pressure.

Re: just another stupid question

The rubber window gasket lip acts as a garnish molding.
After the headliner is glued in the window/gasket assy. is installed.
