broken water neck? no
did a search and did not see this "trick" posted. i have seen and broken my share of ears broken off when torquing and had resorted to hand tightening by "feel". i ordered a new water neck from...

pile of A stuff in ct
i am a chevy guy who got stuck with a pile of model A parts; 7 engines [in varying degrees of completion] four transmissions [including B truck tranny] axles, tubes, rears, brakes, rims, roadster top...
