Wow. I didn’t know the “idiot light” was available way back in 1929. I had just assumed it was a late 1950s thing. (I think my 1957 Fairlane had idiot lights.)

That looks like a nice unit, and I’m curious. How did you mount it? Did you attach it to the kick panel? Or, did you attach it to the cowl sheet metal? Did you use screws, magnets, or something else?...

That’s the first I’ve heard of a “load equalizer.” I thought you meant load resistor earlier, but someone correctly pointed out a load resistor would probably get really hot in a headlight circuit. ...

You can bump the unthreaded fittings out with a hammer and small chisel or screwdriver. The vendors sell replacement fitting sets like this.

Battery charger
This is what I use. The previous owner let it go with the purchase of my 6 volt Model A. I purchased a second one like it for my 12 volt Mustang so I can maintain both batteries at the same time....
