Re: 1940 Ford Tudor Glass kit

I second the opinion to use Bob's classic auto glass. I have ordered from him multiple times.

Re: Moved to Prineville, Or.

@Roger/Sacramento , I'm in Madras. Take hwy 26 to Madras hwy 97 jct, turn south on 97. I am the first driveway to the west. 15 or 20 antique cars out front. Can't miss it. Plenty of old Fords and...

Re: ‘48 Allard on eBay with a Ford Flathead V8

I learn something new every day! I had thought all Allards were race cars. Pretty cool street cars too.

Re: Toilet paper oil filter adapter

My '29 Tudor with a 59a engine has had a Frantz filter on it since 1958. Original owner builder runs one on his 260Z too. Modern toilet paper will NOT work! Biodegradable so they break down with...

Re: Bobs Classic Auto Glass

I've bought from Bob's more than once and have always been treated better than great! I 1st saw the listings on ebay but looked at his website and called direct. Will buy again and again.

Re: 49 vs 50 car water pumps

I have a stroker 8ba in my '40 Tudor. I used the narrow belts thinking buying a replacement on the road would be much easier. I even run the '51 car pumps with some nice adapters I got with some...

Re: 1938 Flathead V8 Race Motor-What’s it worth?

They would be terrible in a tractor as they have hardly any torque at all.

Re: Please educate me on scammers when selling a car

I listed a large tube type TV on C/L in the free section. Hate to throw it away. I got a detailed text message wanting pics of the back, what connections, etc. WAY too many questions! He wanted to...

Re: Flat Head Oil Filter

Old toilet paper (age wise, not old as in used!) was acceptable in filter housings made for it or adapted to it. New toilet paper is water soluble and breaks down with moisture. Engines get plenty of...

Re: gear ratio

I put 1954 Ford 3.54 center section and axles in my '51 coupe many many years ago. '54 had the finer spline axle so both center section and axles had to change.

Found!

I am in search of the right front brake actuator/cross shaft for the stock mechanical brakes on a 1932 Ford. Also need both front brake rods and '32 clutch and brake pedal assembly. What do...

Re: Are these parts Model T?

The tail pipe bracket looks to be early Dodge Brothers. DB also used a dome light lens like that but not sure about the metal mount it is in.

Re: Tubeless 16" tires

I have been running tubeless radials on '35 Ford wires for years. Tubeless tires by nature are safer than tubed tires due to the fact that they are basically self sealing. If you get a nail or screw...

Re: Do you drive your A in the snow or stormy weather?

Drove my '31 Coupe in the snow yesterday to our weekly cruise nite gathering at A&W/KFC. Hiway was pretty clear but driveway and side roads were packed snow.

'24 to early '26 Dodge Brothers. '23 was different frame, late '26 and '27 had 1 piece windshield.

Re: Christmas Wish Came True

In 1961-1963 my Mom had a '53 Merc 2dr hardtop. She passed away just this Nov 12th and as it turns out the owner of this 53 Merc 4dr was the pastor that did Mom's funeral! I didn't know he had it or...

Thanks! I twisted them around in my computer but after posting them they went back to the way you saw them, just as the seller had posted them on craigslist.

I just bought a 53 Merc Monterey 4dr yesterday myself! Drove it the trailer, hauled it 28 miles home, drove it off trailer, checked it out some more, then drove it downtown and gassed it up and took...

Re: White Walls (Just a question not trying to start a debate)

I'm thinking it looks like a trailer hitch ball, not a "rub".

I had whitewalls on a '29 Tudor I sold to my sister in law. I had it at my house one day while I was debating on what color...

Re: Rear hub won't turn

Also, are you using the adapter/spacer between the hyd. drum and the wire wheels? Very much needed for the wheels to seat properly.

Re: Road Conditions Poll!

I agree with TheHighLander. We were in Detroit Michigan last summer for the 100th anniversary of Dodge Brothers. Never seen roads so bad! Several bent rims on old DB's and at least 1 broken vent...

Re: 5th annual Washington state E vs W flathead run 09/20/2014 ***NEW LOCATION***

So, I am thinking of coming up from Madras Oregon for this run. 276 miles from here. Question is, am I from the East or West? Straight up hwy 97 pretty much due North.
