Re: LED taillights and how to wire turn signals

Y,

My turn signal unit only has 4 wires, nothing for the brake light switch. I may have to get a 7 wire unit, maybe a Signal-Stat 900? Ideas anyone?
thanks

Re: LED taillights and how to wire turn signals

I may have to get at different turn signal unit with more wires to solve the stop lamp wiring...

Oversize brake rivets?

The brake shoes on my '31 coupe have worn holes for the rivets, 0.166 inch. But the only brass rivets I can find are 0.142 inch shaft diameter.
Does anyone make an oversize rivet with the proper...

Re: Newbie that has model A that has not been started since 1968

Hi, My 31 coupe was in storage from 1966-2011! Since my engine was NOT rebuilt and probably has a lot of sludge, I only use 30 weight, NON-detergent oil (Walmart, etc.).
I took off the carb, fuel...

Question 31 Cowl lamp assembly

I am rebuilding my original lamps and don't know if the lens goes next to the rim and then the gasket, followed by the spring clips or some other way. I seem to be installing the clips the wrong way...

Re: Getting the rear hub off the brake drum?

Guys, I got them apart today. Sprayed them with Kroil and let sit for 2 days, then heated up the drum around the hub (but not heating the hub), block of wood on the nose of the hub, and 3 careful...

Working on my 31 coupe and noticed the outer front wheel bearing race is rotating in the hub. I assume that is not good, how do I fix it? Any special tools needed?

Thanks

Getting the rear hub off the brake drum?

On my 31 coupe I used a 5/8 O.D. MK Morse MK 10 hole saw and carefully drilled and removed the studs (didn't go to deep). My front hubs just dropped out , but the rear hubs are really tight in the...

Re: Shutoff valve packing stuck

Tom,
I built a small puller like one for a steering wheel and finally got it out. The fiber type packing was really tough. What are you using to lap it with?
Any tricks to it?
thanks:)

Re: Shutoff valve packing stuck

This car is an early 31 (Oct 30), valve is inside the car. Does the valve shaft pullout or unscrew? Pulling on it with fingers doesn't work.

Cool Re: Distributor won't seat on head

Tom,

I haven't replaced the shaft. I feel the notch line up and it drops part way down, just not all the way. I believe it is lined up because once it drops part way, you can't rotate the...
