Front Shock Removal
When removing the front shocks on a 40 Ford sedan can it be done with the cars weight on the ground or should the work be done on a hoist ? Kenny C

Greetings old car guys, just curious.........what are the thoughts out there regarding lifting the rear of the vehicle with a hydraulic jack placed at the differential? I don't see a problem...

Thanks Seth. Went with the Diamondback 6.50-16 radials through Summit Racing plus free delivery. Prices seem about the same everywhere. Diamondback had the same price but wanted a big shipping...

Dome lamp and switch
Regarding the two dome lamps installed in the B pillars of a 4 Door Sedan Deluxe, how do you remove the translucent plastic lens without damage in order to replace the bulb ? Thank you ! Kenny C.

What type of paint was used on the 1940 Fords ? I have a Sedan Deluxe with original paint that is in excellent condition. I'm no painter but I would guess it would be some type of automotive enamel...
