Re: Hot water heater will not fit

My dad's old sedan had so many heater hose holes in the right side of the firewall it looked like Swiss cheese. Must have had several different heaters in it over the years.

Re: Garage lights

Ballast bypass bulbs are the better choice in my opinion. If you keep your old ballast it will eventually fail and you will need to replace it or get a ballast bypass bulb, In the meantime you are...

Re: Garage lights

I replaced the 4' florescents in my shop with LEDs from Amazon. These were the most lumins per dollar I could find at the time. Bought two boxes of 25 and used most of them.

Re: Fuel shut off valve

Yes, a ball valve will work fine. Some have small handles that don't look so much like an oil refinery product.

Re: New Engine Oil Change

It's an oil change... stop fretting and just do it. If it doesn't help, it certainly won't hurt.

Re: Marvel Schebler carb pouring gas

Herb is right. The only thing that would cause that is the needle valve not seating correctly. Possibly the float level is wrong, but most likely something between the needle and the seat.

Re: Radial tires again

Oh yeah, if you're working by yourself, it's handy to clamp a 1 x 4 or a piece of metal flat bar to one or both squares. Helps make up for only having 2 hands.

Re: new tubes-any of them any good?

Re: Gas Valve Installation - thread sealant recommended?

Read the labels, any pipe thread compound that says it's good for gas or diesel (usually in a list of about 40 things), will work fine. I several varieties on my shelf, most are green in color but...
