Thanks for the advice. I removed the rear motor mount bolts and was able to get the timing cover removed.

I could run it up the drivers side but I think it was originally ran on the passenger side.

Not sure if you can tell by this picture. But this shows where the tag was removed from the gas tank. The tank had the original paint on it and the tag had never been removed.

My dad told me that when his grandfather ordered the car that he told the dealer he didn't care what color it was, he just wanted the first one that came in. I know that you could not special order...

I went back and looked at the dawn dark gray. Ours is much darker than that. I am positive it is a 28, my great grandfather ordered it and picked it up April of 28 ( have the original bill of sales)...
