How to get crankshaft dowell pin on a 59ab back in place

I have just removed the flywheel on my 59 a B. One of the crankshaft Dowell pins came out with the flywheel. How do I get it back in? Is there a trick to it?

Yes I replaced the throwout bearing. I first bought a piece of crap flywheel from Speedway Motors. It locked up my engine. Then I went to eBay trying to find a 10 inch clutch for a flathead Ford....

The flywheel is a Ford, I bought used. The ten inch clutch bolted up perfectly. I think it was from a 49-52. Does that matter?

Perhaps I should clarify that it is at the 10 o’clock position, looking at it from the passenger side

My 39 Fordor has The original “numbers matching” transmission in it. The VIN is on the transmission and the frame. They match. This is the original transmission. My father bought this car in 1972...

Can the lever on the transmission be bent safely?

Other words, will the lever handle being bent slightly to shorten the distance?
