Re: Anyone using a horn relay

Hi Elk,

yes, I have one too. The horn works much more better also in idle. Easy and unvisible to install.

Re: Mountig Spotlight On Roadster

Re: Fuel Line, Shut-Off Valve to Firewall: Why Made Of Hard Steel?

Guten Morgen, that's no reasons to quarrel!

At that time, machine construction was oversized. A great safety factor was built in. In case of doubt a number stronger.

You hardly had to pay...

wrong / worn axle shims

Guten Abend!

About 3500 ml / <2 years ago I revised all the brakes. Since the rear brake drums were too loose on the axle cone, I used the thin spicer / cone / axle shim.

Today I installed...

Re: 28 7 tooth Steering gear

Tinbasher,

have you adjusted correctly the end-bearing play of the lower plate with several brass seals tightly? If that has too much space (1/100 "), then it is more than 3 finger widths on the...

Re: Tighten the 21" rims straight

Hallo und guten Tag!

I have tried the miracle pills in the meantime, although I don't believe in miracles. The result is interesting!

Re: 1st gear is slightly jammed

Guten Tag!

Yes that's right. I swapped everything around the outside but the problem persists.

I also tried to find the cluster as a good used part, but unfortunately couldn't find anything....

Re: 1st gear is slightly jammed

2. gear jumps out (As written before, the 2nd gear jumps out.)

Today I tried an interesting experiment:

I noticed that the 2nd gear jumps out faster on poor paved roads than on a smooth...

Re: Fumbled a piston

Guten Abend Dave.

If it were my engine, which I would drive a lot in my car in the future, I would take four new oversized pistons and with cylinderliners grinded and honed.

Yes, the piston...

Re: 7-tooth steering full lock

Miken,

as GRutter wrote, the translation from the steering wheel to the tie rod depends on the length of the pitman.

Are the wheels on the ground? Or is the car jacked up and the wheels...

Mountig Spotlight On Roadster

Guten Abend!

I saw a Model A here today (2nd in the last 5 years)! It had on the left side a long (>15") searching light with a pistol grip. Unfortunately, in the short time, I couldn't see how...

Re: Transmission noise

Do you also feel vibrations?

Is that noise also in neutral gear if you gradually increase the rpm? Maybe an imbalance in the clutch basket?

Re: Anti-seize for carburetor parts?

Guten Morgen Katy,

I use "Renolit VLS" for these applications.

Re: front tire wear

Pete,
heavy tire wear on the outside indicates that the toe-in is too large. But then correctly on both sides.

If only one side wears on in or out side, this is an indication that something is...
