Help!, Installing my 30 Coupe Hydem Welting

We are installing the wire-on welting on my 30-Coupe 45-B. However, we can't seem to find a how and where the welting meets or overlaps the other welting. and how they are terminated.

Yes, it's the long grain black material and was attached 15 years ago using tacks. Now, we are trying to tack some black wired welting into the same channel that was used to secure the top material. ...
