To bring into perspective the size of a micron I found the below info on Parker Filter site .... I wouldn't get to carried away on too small of micron filtering unless you have the pressure to push...

I use a relay and an inertia switch that will shut off the fuel pump in an accident ..

I am using a fuel regulator with a return fuel line back to the gas tank and a Carter low pressure pump ... no problems and with the return line it gets rid of the head pressure at the regulator and...

I called and talked to Jerry at Schneider's Cams, told him what will be in the engine and what fuel injection, how it will be used, what it will be going in and he told me the cam he would use....

On the early 8ba's there is an oil galley plug over the rear cam idler gear cover which may be leaking ... the later 8ba's do not have it ...

The early 8ba's did have an oil plug in the back of the engine, right above the camshaft gear cover plate, also they did not have a fuel pump rod bushing... picture below shows the plug ...

Matt with the control the computer gives me for changing for any conditions and load I was hoping for a little more than that. It does have the T5 overdrive with 3.78 gears in the rear end and 820-15...

Ron you mentioned JWL's testing, I have his and your books, have read them cover to cover and still reference them. I have an av8 '30 pickup and I put the fuel injection under the intake manifold on...

This won't help with your crack but I found interesting, a 1939 patent for engine block crack repairs. You can click on one of the pictures and a window will pop up with the picture, at the top click...
