Yes, one of the benefits of PCV Valve is that it reduces/relieves crankcase pressure.

BUT....I kind'a doubt that it will "help the pistons slide down the bores", as whichever ones are sliding...

Instead of going off into the atmosphere, it is now re-routed back into all eight combustion chambers to be mixed & RE-burned, hopefully MORE-thoroughly, hence.....reducing pollution. DD

OK, these are 1940-'41 front hubs. The flat surface you see in the TOP picture goes against the INSIDE of the drum. The back side (big bearing end) is all 'lumpy' in the BOTTOM picture with stud...

Man, it's always something! I have two POSSIBILITIES. First would be attempting to "FLEX" the floor UPWARD right at that point above the crossmember. You could use a floor jack to raise a 2 X 4...

The road draft tube IS the "vent" for an 8BA crankcase. It's the venue for pressure to escape the crankcase. As the vehicle increases speed, the open end of the tube going through the air beneath...
