1939 Flathead spark plug wire tubes/ loom

Looking for a good useable set of spark plug wire tubes for a ‘39 Ford/Merc. I need a set with all the grommets intact. Not too worried about dents, can work anything minor out.

Thanks,
Randy

Thanks for the input!

Re: ‘39 Merc All Terrain Vehicle???

Rear is 3.78. Compression is an even 90psi across all 8 cylinders. Low-ish compression, but the local flathead guys thought it was decent...

Also, i’m running 6.50x 16’s. I’m aware that a 6.00x 16...

‘39 Merc All Terrain Vehicle???

Well, not really.

I’ve got a stock ‘39 Mercury sedan that I’ve been taking on camping trips this summer. Other than a few cooling issues that I’ve mostly got solved, I notice that climbing hills...

Re: ‘39 Merc light grinding sound through shifter

It was making it before. The reason I dug in at all honestly was the noise. If it isn’t a catastrophic issue, I’m not very concerned with it. Other than the noise, there isn’t really a negative...

‘39 Merc light grinding sound through shifter

Thanks to you guys, I solved an annoying acceleration issue in this low-mile ‘39 Merc. I’ve been packing miles on it the past few days and i’m impressed with how smooth the car operates...

Re: ‘39 Merc hesitating under load...driving me crazy

FIXED!

Thanks for all the input. After much of the input here suggested something to do with plug wires or ignition, I decided to dig back into the distributor.

Initially I wanted to verify...

Re: ‘39 Merc hesitating under load...driving me crazy

On the 94 I set it myself. I haven’t on the 97 but there has been no change between the two carbs. I would expect at least a little difference. That said, I’ll pull the top off the ‘97 and check it. ...

Re: ‘39 Merc hesitating under load...driving me crazy

That’s been eating at me too...that’s the only part in the whole ignition system that isn’t brand new. Is there a reliable way to test them? They look perfect...

To answer your question though: at...

Re: ‘39 Merc hesitating under load...driving me crazy

Could be condenser, but I doubt it. Had one on it that seemed ok but I’ve since swapped it for a brand new one... no change to any of the hesitation symptoms.

Will hit it with Marvel and report...

1939 Mercury running board rubber

Is it the same dimension as the '39 Ford deluxe / '40 Ford standard stuff? The passenger side of a '39 Merc 4 door I just picked up is flaking off and I'd like to put new stuff down.

I can't find...

Re: Looking for info on this '39 Merc I just found...

Well, other than the history of the car, I'm curious about the interchangeability of '39-'40 Ford parts with the Merc stuff. Seems parts labeled '39-40 Ford are common while '39-'40 Merc labeling is...
