I should also clarify. I'm using, The Ins and Outs of Early Ford Transmissions by Mac Van Pelt and that book shows the thrust washer under the second gear lock on the main shaft.

I'm replacing the second gear on my '32 model b transmission and I can't get the thrust washer to slip over the second gear lock on the main shaft. See pictures for reference. Any suggestions/ ideas...

What is the thread size for the grease fitting on the drag link? I need to re-tap the drag link and while I'm at it I might was well repair the threads for grease fitting.
