No they are not the housing is the same but ford changed the out let holes and the b shaft is reduced in diameter for more flow.

I just bought a 30 amp voltage gauge and the dealer tried to talk me out of buying the thing he said if I buy that gauge I'll never come back to him for parts. All I can say is it works for now.

oil pump

I read that there is a different oil pump for the b engine. How can I tell the difference? I was given a pump along with the b block and the guy that gave me the block got them in a yard cleanup.
