Re: Not to say it wont happen again tomorrow

A & L condensers are rock solid, they will work with original points or the 57 and up "modern" points. I think most all the vendors offer them.

Re: Is this head gasket seepage acceptable?

How do you get 14 to 1 compression on a V8 and have any breathing area left? I wouldn't expect you to reveal secrets but it is an interesting topic.

Re: My friend Kenís Model A -V8

My avatar roadster was built one piece at a time from flea market parts and a very poor body that was patched up. No Model A's were damaged to build it. I also have a stock 30 Tudor that will remain...

Re: Steering Box LEAKS!!

I never understood Ford's plan on the steering box, no seal and fill it with oil? Will 600w oil NOT leak past a good bushing or just not enough to worry about "back in the day"?

Re: Apart from Ford, who else made hi-comp police heads back in the day

Wasn't the problem with crooked Snyder heads corrected back when it was discovered? I thought I read about that a while ago.

Re: Colony brand adjustable tappets

Colony makes both styles, I have a set of each in original packaging. The single lock does have a larger base.

Re: Model B engine, 28 model A.....change carb from Tillotson to Zenith?

Do you know which style of Tillotson he liked or just Tillys in general? I ask because I never hear anything about the F1-B style from "back in the day".
They seem to be kind of the red headed...

Re: This distributor setup looks very cool

For me these new pointless distributors ARE pointless. OK for new vehicles, but I don't want to pollute my old Fords. :)

Re: Mutant B Carb

Looks like it is air balanced for an air cleaner. I have a Model A type Zenith that is like your B carb. It is not for an A or B though.
