Re: Model A only runs 40 miles

First of all, thanks for the many tips, there are still a few points that can be checked.

Tank is leaking enough. At least there is enough petrol, we have already checked that.
Whether the...

Re: Model A only runs 40 miles

Check! Exactly, that's what I mean.

We adjusted the timing with the Ignition Timing Tool Kit and the ignition flash gun. Fits exactly to the "gram".

Re: Model A only runs 40 miles

The engine just doesn't rev up under load. He can't do it anymore.

Model A only runs 40 miles

Hi guys, another little problem. A friend has now also bought a Tudor, but the engine has too little power. He didn't get more than 40 miles. Acceleration isn't particularly good either. I now have a...

Re: Heater

I guess you are right. But I also bought my Signal Stat Arrow Turn Signal in the US, so what's the problem? But you have to pay attention to the price! I bought my heater for 100 € and then...

Re: Heater

I drove to a classic car meeting at the beginning of April last year, and it was 3-4 degrees Celsius here in Berlin. Not exactly the ideal temperature for a ride in a Tudor. So I decided to retrofit...

Re: Rain

Yes, I also had the experience with the fogged windows. Even the one with the missing heater. I drove to a classic car meeting at the beginning of April last year, and it was 3-4 degrees Celsius here...

Re: Backfire in overrun mode (load change)

I used these manifold gaskets.

I've tightened manifold bolts more tightly...

Re: Backfire in overrun mode (load change)

Everything okay, I didn't get it wrong. Everything is good. You don't have to apologize for wanting to solve my problems either. The Tip with the valves is not wrong in itself, but it is the most...

Re: Backfire in overrun mode (load change)

Valve guides, ... I don't want to think that far.
However, the problem should be identified by means of a compression test / pressure loss test.

I tried to open GAV further. Even with a full...

Backfire in overrun mode (load change)

Hi folks, a few days / weeks ago I noticed "new" appearances of my 30s Tudor.

My manifold gaskets were burned as a result of a warped manifold, and the last time I drove this manifold I had...

Re: Which thread?

All right, now it clicked. The translator played a trick on me. Yes ... I will definitely use copper paste. This is a means that is common here. I think it will be something like "Never Seez".

Re: Which thread?

Yes, it has already happened. Fortunately, the exhaust manifold is broken, welded and warped anyway, so I don't have to worry about the broken screw anymore.

But so that they don't tear off again...

Which thread?

Hello guys, a quick question.
The screws that attach the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold are worn out on me. I do not want to order these screws separately in the USA now (coming from...

Re: Scratching first gear?!?!

Hm ... I say, the idle speed is not very high. It is a little too high, but not much. This is because I also have the problem that the engine partly dies when stopping. It seems to be a most common...

Re: Scratching first gear?!?!

I bought my oil from a Model-A parts dealer here in Germany called 600W. The dealer should recognize the correct oil. Oil level in the gearbox was checked two weeks ago. Is at maximum.

Scratching first gear?!?!

Hi guys,

yesterday I had to drive my A for about 20 minutes in a traffic jam / stop`n`go. The gearbox didn't really like that. The first Gear could only be engaged with scratching noises.
I mean...

Re: Solution for audio system in model A?

Yes, the idea has already been mentioned, is correct, but I don't really like it. I do not want any additional batteries that I have to charge at home. Which are always empty when it is the least...
