1929 Ford roadster pickup (steel)

Re: lowering a 41 ford

Just my experience, but I lowered my '40 Ford convertible with shackles in the early 1950's while in high school and drove the h*ll out of it as teenagers do. No problem, therefore wouldn't hesitate...

Re: How much?

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. I agree with you and just for fun, I am going to buy one of those cheap ($2-3.00) testers like I remember in the 1950's. ;)

How much?

I've been running Water Wetter in my flathead all summer, but now it's time to get ready for winter. Does anyone know the total capaciy of a flathead? Of course, the radiator is a bit smaller than...

Re: Concrete Floor protector

I've always liked this idea, but to frugal (cheap) to do it. I'm old as dirt and don't do much wrenching anymore. :(

Re: Hard Start after Warm looking for suggestions

Re: How Many Versions of the 59 Type Blocks?

I'm sorry if I wasn't paying attention and/or misunderstood part of the discussion. All I know is that mine was 239 stock and I put in a stroker kit that brought it to 295.

Re: 85 HP Cutting Out Bad

Just a shot on the dark, but I had a car years ago that did the same thing...discovered that points gap had definitely "closed up" (I don't like filing points...too cheap to replace). If you're...

Re: Tire pressure for radials

Good job...the experts say that's about the limit on age, regardless of what they "look like".

Re: Tire pressure for radials

blucar has it exactly right. "Maximum" pressure means just that. One needs to find the reasonable pressure for his own car. Many of our rods weigh maybe 2500 - 3000 lbs. and require less pressure for...

Re: Grounding Issue

Probably not, but you "could have" slammed the hood just hard enough to affect a connection. Just so you don't overlook it, check for a good connection at the coil where the ignition wire attaches...

Re: Horders

I agree...one Mustang is more than enough. If you want to be a good benefactor, you could send one to me (I'll pay for shipping). I don't have even one.
