I made a mistake yesterday. I set up new bearings and axle key at the rear.
But after that I overtighted the axle nut and damaged the thread. Any advice of what I could do now, but cry...

Model A made in south America
Hello !
i own a 1928 phaeton Model A. My father bought it in Uruguay 35 years ago and shipped it to France in the 1990's
It' a RHD car.
I wonder why it's a RHD
I'm trying to get any information...

A tube from an US supplier costs only a few dollars. But I have to pay 50 dollars for shipping, plus 7% import tax, plus 20% VAT. So If I need others things, it's better to think about them before...

I took another photo with total length of the tube. As you can see, the total length is 7 cm, what is less than 3 inches.
Do you think the problem could be caused by a too short tube ?

I do think that the marks on the crank are only stains of oil illuminated by the camera flash.
